Sew Your Own T-Shirt Using Your Overlocker
Join Lucy on this one day workshop, ran from Just Sew, Penrith and sew yourself your own t-shirt using your overlocker.
Level up your overlocker confidence as you create a beautifully finished, relaxed-fit wardrobe staple. With neckline options (crew or scooped), different sleeve lengths and hems - including to chance to try a fun lettuce hem - this is the perfect next step for successful jersey sewing, but on your own overlocker!
You'll learn lots of techniques on this workshop including;
- Constructing a full t-shirt entirely on your overlocker
- Choosing and handling jersey fabrics
- Sewing different necklines and sleeve lengths
- Creating a standard hem or an on-trend lettuce hem
- Understanding relaxed fit-shaping and optional FBA piece usage
- Mastering clean, professional seams on stretch fabrics
Size range for this workshop is 00 - 40 (bust 30" - 63", waist 25" - 54" and hips 33" - 62")
You do need to bring your own overlocker for this workshop. You do need to have a basic understanding on how to use your overlocker too.

What's provided

What you will need to bring with you
- Main fabric
- Fabric suggestions: Light to medium weight jersey fabrics such as; cotton jersey, viscose jersey, bamboo jersey
- Fabric suggestions: Light to medium weight jersey fabrics such as; cotton jersey, viscose jersey, bamboo jersey
- Matching Thread
- For your overlocker you will need 4 cones of thead
- If you want to sew a standard hem on your sleeves and t-shirt hem, then you will also need a matching sewing machine thread.

Quilting Clips
- We recommend using quilting clips when constructing your t-shirt, instead of using pins.
- Overlocker and Sewing Kit (don't forget your paper scissors!)
- Don't forget your foot pedal and tools that come with your overlocker.
Full fabric quantities will be given on booking confirmation as the required amount varies on the size you wish to sew.
The pattern used for this workshop is the Cuppa Tee pattern from Waves and Wild.
