Sew A Half Snap Pullover

Join Lucy on this day workshop, ran from Just Sew, Penrith and sew yourself a classic Half Snap Pullover. 

Whether you're strolling through town, or going for a walk in the Lake District, the Half Snap Pullover will keep you looking cosy with its modern silhouette and thoughtful details. This pullover combines comfort, style and a great fit! 

You'll learn lots of skills on this workshop including;

• Installing a half-snapped placket
• Sewing a stand-up collar
• Constructing in-seam pockets
• Working with very low-stretch knit fabrics
• Applying bias binding to hems and edges
• Fitting with cup-size options and bust darts

Size range for the Half Snap Pullover is 00 - 40 (bust 30" - 63", waist 25" - 54" and hips 33" - 62")

You do need to have some sewing machine experience for this course and also have had some experience of sewing up some dressmaking garments.

What's provided

What you will need to bring with you

• Outer fabric
  • Fabric suggestions: Medium to medium-heavy weight knit fabric with 5-15% stretch such as microfleece, sherpa fleece and sweatshirting.
• Contrast fabric
  • Fabric Suggestions: Stable lightweight woven fabric with no stretch such as quilting cotton, cotton poplin and chambray.
• Lightweight woven fusible interfacing
• Bias Binding.
  • This can be made from your contrast fabric or you can use pre-made bias binding.
• 5x 12.5mm (1/2") snaps
• 1.17m (46") of 10mm (3/8") wide fusible stay tape interfacing.
  • This can be prebought or you can make it from your own interfacing.
• Matching Thread
• Sewing Machine and Sewing Kit (don't forget your paper scissors!)
  • If preferred, for an additional £5.00 you can hire one of our sewing machines. Please notify us before the workshop if you would like to hire a machine.
    

Full fabric quantities will be given on booking confirmation as the required amount varies on the size you wish to sew.  

The pattern used for this workshop is the Bainbridge Pullover by Itch to Stitch.
