Sew Your Own Layering Knitted Tank/Vest

Join Lucy on this day workshop, ran from Just Sew, Penrith and sew yourself a seasonal knitted slipover. 

On this workshop you get the opportunity to sew a stylish, yet comfortable sleeveless knitted tank/vest slipover. A versatile jersey garment that you can layer up with your shirts and dresses, perfect for a little added warmth on those autumnal days! 

This workshop is ideal for anyone looking to build their confidence sewing with jersey fabrics, whether using a sewing machine or an overlocker. This is a great project to develop your skills and discover just how easy and enjoyable sewing with stretch fabrics can be!

Size range for this workshop is 6 - 30 (bust 31" - 57", waist 24" - 50" and hips 34" - 60")

You do need to have some sewing machine/overlocker experience for this course but not necessarily dressmaking.

What you will need to bring with you

• Main fabric
  • Fabric suggestions: medium weight knitted knit fabrics like Ponte di Roma.
    
  • Fusible Interfacing 
    
• Matching Thread
  
• Sewing Machine and Sewing Kit (don't forget your paper scissors!)
  • If preferred, for an additional £5.00 you can hire one of our sewing machines. Please notify us before the workshop if you would like to hire a machine.

Full fabric quantities will be given on booking confirmation as the required amount varies depending on the size you wish to sew. 

The pattern used for this workshop is the Stevie Slipover by Sew Over It.
